the second round brought few surprises in Buenos Aires. Sixth seed Igor Andreev (pictured right, click for larger) started off really well against Jiri Vanek, winning a 6-1 first set. But of course, it wasn't as easy as Andreev himself thought it would be. He was bagelled in the second set but ended up winning the third 64. In another important match, Agustin Calleri (pictured left, click for larger) played against Luis Horna. They've played a lot of matches against each other, plus they pair for doubles in some tournaments. It was the third match between them this year already, and Calleri won 3-6 6-2 6-2 to score the second win in 2008 against one for Horna. Calleri now leads their head-to-head 5-3 (7-3 counting the challengers).
